Fire Tempest
So I've recently begun playing around with Fire Tempest, before only using it as a joke against trash mobs. I've found that, with a little positioning and RNG, I can consistently hit many bosses for around 3-5k damage with BDCR, Dusk Crown, and Power Within. This is impressive and all, but my question is:

Is there some sort of time frame where bosses receive invincibility frames after getting hit by a pillar? I ask because some very large bosses appear to get hit by most of the pillars, but there is a slight delay before they receive damage after getting hit by a previous pillar.

No they don't receieve i-frames but what's most likely happening with the pyromancy is that the first hit has lengthy hit stun and appears to grant it i-frames when it's just in a hit state.

No, you can be backstabbed during the entire thing. Just most people won't backstab it unless to do a hitstun cancel to entirely avoid damage.

That's not at all what he's asking. He's asking if boss characters receive invincibility frames after taking damage.

I don't think so, most of them are just mobile enough where the don't usually get hit by more than 1 or 2. Pull it out against Seath's largely immobile ass, and he will go down QUICKI. Even better, use Chaos Storm....a bit less upfront damage, but the lava pools will make it more damage before they fade away. Even better, first do Chaos Storm, then follow up with Fire Tempest.

Oh I def noticed that the bigger bosses are easier to land, but even on Seath I noticed all of them don't hit. My math might be wrong, but FT uses 17 charges and each pillar seems to do about 1500+ for me, so I would think it should be hitting in the 10k regions but idk lol.
