Soft ban question

So the other day I got a guy come into my save game and absolutely ♥♥♥♥ing destroyed me, teleported next to me and I had to alt+F4 out after reviving because I was getting spammed by humanity gained messages. My character was still ♥♥♥♥ed after that, took me a while to regain everything and get back to normal, but I was able to after a while.

I then started using manual backup saves just in case the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t happened, as recommended on a few forum posts. A few hours later I'm getting a message about being banned

"Restriction on Your Account Data fraud has been detected on your account, and no improvement has been seen. A game play with unauthorized data is a violation of the online service user policy (Article10: prohibited Acts). "

I've looked at Bandai Namco support and even that is vague - am I perma banned? Am I in a zone with other "cheaters" or people who have been banned? I have 30 hours on my current save and it is my first playthrough, having bought the game last week. From what I can gather - manual backing up and restoring of saves can trigger this?!

I mean this whole thing started because a dude teleported next to me and insta-gibbed me while leaving all kinds of curses and debuffs on me, destroying my armour. How the ♥♥♥♥ is that in the "normal" servers and then I get "softbanned" for trying to rectify this and being the victim of it?

As far as I know, I had no third party software running and I do have cheat engine installed by I very rarely touch it for anything but older games.

My question is - is there a way to know when I will be unbanned? What exactly am I banned from?

it's this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheater FrozoneDisney he is a ♥♥♥♥♥ because he have no point on his life and instead of he use cheats to break your game uhhhh.... sry he make me verrrry salty... and i don't know if you can be unbanned, if im not telling some ♥♥♥♥, when your banned if you use humanities to be online you will be in a server for cheaters like jail.

Hi! First time bans can be lifted. Just contact Bandai Namco support of your region. They will tell what you need to do.

About backups, It seems we can't use them....

"2. Any manual backups of your data are considered invalid and will not be counted as legitimate saves from the server. if you have loaded a manual backup, you need to delete it." From "Bans and Isolations FAQ (DS3 and DSR)"

So I got a response, it was basically almost a copy and pasted reply that didn't address the fact I was hacked. They said the number of souls/stats was changed and that I needed to delete the character. Well I'm almost finished with the damn game........I'm also certain that my souls were unaffected too, it was humanity (which I got rid of).
