Humanity can also be used to Reverse your Holloeing and to get the Human form, while Human you can summon other Players for bosses and some other coop things.
And the more Humanity you have the higher goes your Item Discorvery witch would be max with 9 Humanity.
If you die, you lose that humanity along with your souls.
Having that Humanity Counter gives you 3 bonuses.
-1: It increases your item find rate.
-2: And Chaos weapons increase damage with that counter. These bonsuses cap out at 10 humanity, even though you can have more soft humanity than that.
-3: You gain curses resist
Note these 3 bonsues do not require you to be in human form, only to have the humanity
2. Kindling a bonfire you sacrifice humanity to strengthen that bonfire, so that when you rest at it, it'll give you more uses of your Estus Flask.
3. See above
4. By default you start the game in Hollow form, if you reverse hollow at a bonfire by consuming you'll restore your human appereance. In this Human form, you will now be able to summon phantoms to help you, as well as you are open to be invaded. These can be real players although, there are a few npc phantoms you can summon and a few npc invaders.
2. Kindle: Increases the amount of Estus you receive when you rest at a bonfire. All bonfires can be kindled up to 4 times, giving you 5 Estus each for a total of 20 estus. You need a special item to go beyond 10 estus, though.
3. The humanity stat (the number next to your HP/Stamina in the upper left hand corner) increases your item discovery, and caps at 10. It is also spent at most covenants to get rewards. The other thing humanity does is slightly increase your resistances, and improves the damage of Chaos weapons and a couple other weapons. It is also spent at the bonfire to turn human.
4. When you start the game, you are hollow. That's why you look like ♥♥♥♥ when you first start. When you die, if you were human, you go hollow. If you rest at a bonfire, you can spend 1 humanity (the stat, not the item) to go human. This turns on multiplayer and opens you up to invasions, as well as allow you to summon players to help you. Sometimes you will get invaded by computer controlled NPCs, so be mindful of that. Being human is the only way to Kindle the bonfires, so choose wisely the time you wish to do so!
