How to use Steam name instead of character's one?
Title. Can't find the option ingame.

The original Dark Souls uses your Steam name, but this remaster uses your character name - so, OP, you don't have to do anything.

I might be wrong, but in all Dark Souls games, I believe it's always your char's name showing, never your Steam name, and there never been anything you could do about it.

Nope, other way around. Not entirely sure about being able to change it for the other games, but ik you can do so in ds3.

Back in PS3 it was just the PSN name and you couldn't show char's name. And I think it was like that on DS2 aswell. Idk about the remaster tho, it seems like it's always char's name.

In DS PtDE it shows you steam community name. It shows character name in all the others.

The other way around? When I block someone in DSR, their profile name is 99% of the time different from the char's name, so I'm pretty sure you're wrong at least for DSR.

For the record: Dark Souls 1: Steam/gamertag/PSN always. Dark Souls 2: PC-Character Name, Console-Gamertag/PSN, Dark Souls 3: Toggle character name or profile name, Same with Bloodborne. DSR: Character Name(On pc unsure about consoles)
