backstabbed from the front?
I'm getting back stabbed from the front multiple times from invaders. They just slip in around super quickly. Is there something I'm missing here? What am I doing wrong?

Maybe they are doing what is called a pivot backstab, which looks kinda weird on your end, from the opponent perspective they are just pivoting into your back

Yeah I'm trying to figure out what's going on. Everyone in PvP seems to go for the back stab, but I have no idea what's going on exactly. We were fighting, and then suddenly backstab, when he wasn't even on my back...more confused than anything.

Tips on how to do it, or counter?

Backstab awareness comes with time and practice, u also have to account the latency that u might have with people from another country or region altho there are ways to defend against this as well, I suggest u watch the following vids

I'm generally aware of backstabs and parries (which seem to be pretty easy), but for whatever reason the backstabs in this particular one I'm really struggling with.

Actually...

Where's the best way to farm red orbs? I only have four. I don't want to invade anybody unless I know I can get a steady supply of a way to invade.

You can't farm them. The only way is to place the Lordvessel with Kaathe. Then you can get a red eye orb , and also can buy cracked red orbs from Kaathe.

You can't farm them. The only way is to place the Lordvessel with Kaathe. Then you can get a red eye orb , and also can buy cracked red orbs from Kaathe.

I guess the only other way is to invade through covenants?

Yep. Per ex. with a Blue Orb.
Or you can put down a red sign.
Or you find somebody to trade a few cracked red eye orbs.

The best way I've found to avoid a constantly strafing bs fisher is to always backpedal and either poke them if you have a fast weapon or break their poise.

Strafe in the oposite direction and backstab them instead.

that's a good idea. I have a +10 halberd, too. Would that be better than my BKGA?

Also, since I just got to Anor Londo, first thing I did was head to Gwyndolin, so I just got my blue orb. Good way to PvP practice then. I need it really really bad.

Might be lag. Been a few times where I've been backstabbed when the guy was like 3 feet in front of me lol

Yeah, I've found that to be a pretty good weapon. I backstabbed someone with it and did A LOT.

Thanks for those videos by the way, especially the one on learning how to counter backstabs. I'm trying to practice the pivot and rolls.

I've done a lot of invading with the blue orb (someone was killing me with invisible attacks? Just standing there, and it felt like being hit by a stream of throwing knives?)

Killed a couple invaders and I felt pretty good about my performance, instead of feeling like I was an amateur. We both used estus quite a bit, but whatever. Usually anything goes in these, it seems.Duelist manners and mentality don't often work...
