Some advice if you want the uchi, you should have very large ember before 4 kings, and you can farm titanite chunks from dark wraiths as well as slabs, so go for 15 instead of 10. Also go for up close and personal, whether dodge rolling or blocking if mellee, they have a few attacks at close range that can hurt you bad but most of their powerful attacks they use when you keep some distance.
Also if you are going to use the shield to block, but can equip havels set and atleast slow roll, that is a good way to go, more time wailing less time healing, plus it has very good magic resist.
If you need extra damage you can use resins as well, fire would probably work well. It's a matter of doing enough damage so you are never fighting more than one king.
1. Use the crest shield. It's a Medium shield with 100% physical damage resistance and 80% magic resist, very useful in this battle.
2. Hug them. That's right, stick to them like glue. You'll still get hit, but they'll be taking tiny slivers of your health instead of 2-3 shotting you if their blades connect and you're far away.
3. Take your time. It doesn't matter how many of the kings spawn in, because if you hug the one you're currently fighting, the others will spectate most of the time. Every now and then they might try flinging a magic attack your way while you're dealing with one of them, but this hasn't happened to me often.
