I hit a wall at the Four Kings
I can reliably kill the first one, the second one I can sometimes push through. But when they respawn and 3 or 4 of them are in action I die. I'm level 61 with a +10 uchi that does 319 damage. I've got 1018 health and 138 stamina and I'm wearing all painting guardian gear, except for the head which I'm wearing the mask of the child. And i'm using the crest shield for max magic block. Any more advice? I was thinking I should just level up more, but maybe I just suck.

Some advice if you want the uchi, you should have very large ember before 4 kings, and you can farm titanite chunks from dark wraiths as well as slabs, so go for 15 instead of 10. Also go for up close and personal, whether dodge rolling or blocking if mellee, they have a few attacks at close range that can hurt you bad but most of their powerful attacks they use when you keep some distance.

Also if you are going to use the shield to block, but can equip havels set and atleast slow roll, that is a good way to go, more time wailing less time healing, plus it has very good magic resist.

Did you find the very large ember in new londo ruins? You can upgrade your uchi up to +14 just with chunks that you can farm from darkwraiths.

If you need extra damage you can use resins as well, fire would probably work well. It's a matter of doing enough damage so you are never fighting more than one king.
I've got three very simple pieces of advice that will help tremendously:

1. Use the crest shield. It's a Medium shield with 100% physical damage resistance and 80% magic resist, very useful in this battle.

2. Hug them. That's right, stick to them like glue. You'll still get hit, but they'll be taking tiny slivers of your health instead of 2-3 shotting you if their blades connect and you're far away.

3. Take your time. It doesn't matter how many of the kings spawn in, because if you hug the one you're currently fighting, the others will spectate most of the time. Every now and then they might try flinging a magic attack your way while you're dealing with one of them, but this hasn't happened to me often.

Didn't realize you could get weapons to plus 15, and I got the Havel's Set ready to go. Thanks!
Stick close to them. Their sword strikes do exponentially less damage if you're right up on them, as they hit you with their hand/handle and not the blade. Buff/r1 spam to victory in the highest poise armor you can equip.

If you continue to have a hard time also make sure your crest shield is upgraded, higher stability is more besterest in the dumbest english I can say it in, in my smarterer english higher stability means less stamina drain, which means faster recover, with crest shield plus havels you should negate most magic damage and have the poise and defense to tank them, but will lack medium and fast rolls.

Up your pyromancy glove to ascended +5 and get full havels (maybe with a mask of the mother for the HP). People (including me) kill them with this gear on SL1, I'm pretty sure you can do it with SL61

Thanks for all the suggestions boys, ended up beating them in havels with mask of the child with my uchi up to +15. Having the havels and extra damage made the fight trivial. It's funny how a simple change can make the game from frustratingly difficult to baby mode. Once again, thanks for the tips!
