Is it possible to summon people at the start bridge before royal woods if you have killed artorias but not calameet (have shot him down so the boss fog is there)

Should be since kalameet is the area boss of the zone

ok, went through the woods for a few hours, no signs or invasions. but in the township it was instant and multiple.
i guess its just a hotspot
