IDK but I felt it's two handed strike is a little bit slow than Black Knight Greatsword?
Mainly for me, if I compare it to the Claymore, I always choose the Claymore. Reason being, you get the Claymore right in the beginning, so I can play with it more. (Plus, I own an actual, real Claymore so I'm biased!)
The main thing about the Obsidian Greatsword is that you get insane damage but for low stat requirements, making it ideal for making a spell-casting build around it. If you already have a Claymore and maxed out STR/DEX with that, might as well stick with it.
But if you use it maybe once during a fight, occasionally it will work.
But it's a game and Obsidian GS is one of the better dragon tails - if you like to use it you'll be just as fine
