Crash On Startup?

Hey, so I was playing yesterday just fine but today I can't seem to open DSR. I click play only to have it startup show the bonfire on the bottom left then close insantly? I tried going into properties to start it in Administrator but it shows a prompt saying "Failed to Initialize Steam". I have also tried verifying game files and launching it but to no avail. If anyone can assist it would be much appreciated!

Not really It just kinda works from time to time after I don't play it for a bit while. One day it opens just fine the next this happens.

I managed to get pass this bug by reinstalling the game on another disc. It was on disc C and now on disc D. I know it's stupid but try it

I am having the same issue, i am using an Nvidia graphics card, and from what i can tell whindows firewall is being told to let it through, i have tried restarting my computer and that didnt help. Seems others are having this issue as well.
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti

I played it for a solid 1-2 hours, and when I went to quit it crashed, when i tried to reload it up shortly after the bug began to persist, if anyone comes up with a solution let me know, otherwise there is a major problem with the game.

Ok with some help i found my issue had to do with overlays, if your crashing make sure your steam overlay, discord orverlay, or any overlay is off first, my specific issue was both the steam overlay and discord overlay refused to co-operate with eachother.

np novtrox, i had some help from my friend vinnath after realizing i had both overlays on, didnt realize the overlays would cause problems but turning them off worked, spread it around if other people have this issue.

OMG, first troubleshooting step people, turn off all the other crap you are running and disable the freaking overlays and steam cloud saves. Also uninstall nvidia experience, it causes more problems than it is worth and is just bloatware.

You will find more performance and fps by tweaking settings yourself and be a better PC gamer for it, and maybe learn some practical computer skills.

Doing a full reboot and disabling steam overlay fixed this problem for me, hope it works for anyone else googling how to fix this issue
