Stuck on Pinwheel

Any tips? He keeps one shotting me and the journey there from firelink shrine is starting to get boring after the 20th time.

There are two bonfires on the catcombs: one near the beginning and the other hidden behind a hidden wall near where you meet Patches for the first time (where the two statues are).
EDIT: forgot about the Vamos one; it's three.

well pinwheel only has the one attack that should OHK you. its the charged beam, and it heavily telegraphed. i belive that you still can block it, though it will probly stagger you. You can summon a white phantom for the fight. Leroy is on a perch above the wheel skeletons. you can drop on it from the floors above and summon him.

Run up and tag him really fast. Then tag his phantoms that spawn. They all die in one or two hits. Then keep rushing him while strafing right or left. Trick with him is to get in his face. As with most things in DS.

Don't touch that last one. Just light it, don't rest at it. Getting out is easier to homeward bone as opposed to run up through catacombs.

i think the remaster added a bonfire near Vamos, though i havent been down there yet this play thrugh.

also if you get swarmed by his clones, it only takes one hit to dispel them, so a fast weapon can be swiched to to knock them out, as they still can damage you.

Vamos bonfire is the true TRAP. Don't sit there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( if you can't warp).

well yea, i never rest in the catacombs. but i also know the secret ways to get to the bottom fast. one more cheezey then the other, so i can get away with that. new players probly should do it the normal way.
