Is the dark sword any good?
I just got the dark sword and have it up to +10, but i don't know if I should bring to 15 or not.
In PvE it's not awful, but in PvP I only do around 100 dmg. If it isn't good, whats a spammy, low-stamina weapon, good at dealing with gank squads?

Here is ♥♥♥♥, in Dark Souls III is like... 'the ♥♥♥♥'... Or something.

I've never used it in Dark Souls III but here is awful.

Its mainly good for shield breaking despite being slower than a straight sword so you cant spam it and personally I'd go for a infusion for more damage, like occult for example because of its A scaling from it.

Those are both dex oriented, is there a sword like that with better strength scaling?

Claymore.

Yeah, I'd get more creative with the sword, sadly. There are scarier-looking weapons for a proper darkwraith anyway!

And if you're looking to anti-gank, might I suggest an OP pyro glove and great combustion? No reason to play "fair" against the unfair

And if you must go melee, I'd pick a black knight weapon. They're normally slow, but usually have a quick roll-attack or something similar. Learn how to time your wide-ass swing to catch someone at the end of a roll

I've tried black knight weapons, and they're more situational than I'd like. I previously mained the Blackknight UGS, but rarely won, unless I had a teammate.

I tend to pick up whatever black knight weapon I get first. Since I know where the lizards hide, I can get it up to +5 pretty early. The trick to winning a 1-v-1 (not that I'm anything great) is a mix of using the terrain and mixing up your tactics, weapons and item use to keep your foe guessing; a wide swing nicely follows up a dodged fireball (or black firebomb), say. And no one fights with a clear mind when they're poisoned...or toxic.

That said, lately I've been using a lightning flamberge for invaders because it's one of the few weapoins that can carry a double effect (i.e. lightning and bleed). If you just go gear-to-gear with your invader, odds are you're going to lose; few invaders use that eyestone without total confidence their mark will be outmatched. They also expect you to run away, so I usually just run right at 'em.

And if we're talking gankers, why go it alone anyway?
