Eye of death - how to use?
So in the wiki it says i can only use it in an area I haven't killed the boss.
I have some on me and am trying to use them in Sen's Fortress, but the use item option is crossed out... the iron golem is still alive, haven't killed him.

Do I need to be in human form? I read you can use them as a hollow as well. still no luck.
tested with the cracked red eye orbs and those also have the use item option crossed.
I can summon or be summoned using the soapstone with no problems though.

You have to be in the vicinity of a bonfire area without going through any of the white portals in the area. So pretty much the entry area only i believe.

I found that apparently people are using cheap tactics to farm gravelord covenant by putting the sign underneath the red dragon's stairs, so when the spirit of vengance spawns they trigger the dragon to breathe fire and kill them.

You don't lose anything as the phantom other than your time though.

of course I am a gravelord servant, oh I already went through all the fog gates in Sen's fortress except the one leading to the boss... maybe that is it.
I still don't quite get how this covenant works.
will give it a try in new londo, since there I think I haven't gone through any fog gate.

okay I think it might be a bug... was just droped in Anor Londo by the flying brain-monkeys, first thing I did was try to use the eye of death, and the use item option is still crossed.
Guess I´ll just give up on this covenant.

Just a PSA: went back to Sen's and was able to use it. even after defeating the iron golem.. lol go figure.
I guess it is unusable if someone else has already placed a curse in the place.
