MYSTERIOUS INSTA-KILL CRAB?

I had to post from this old account where I have Prepare to Die, cuz got forum-banned on account where screen shot is.
Anyone else encountered this ♥♥♥♥-crab that shoots w/e insta kill spell?

btw its dark coz i am at tomb of giants.

Edit: 3rd time, this time I killed him (he shots something like moonbutterfly slow spell just in white color, dealing massive damage)

Oh, that crab is an incredibly rare enemy that has a chance to appear when you've dropped a lot of items or something. I didn't know they even attacked you

I had to fight one in the tower right before the Tauras Demon fight...climbed the ladder to kill the two archers and it started to shoot at me. Wasn't ready for it lol

Yo that's a vagrant! Vagrants are rad! There's two variants as the wiki link should say, one that attacks and one that is basically a crystal lizard. They do a ridiculous amount of damage.

If someone drops items and nobody picks them up ever, they spawn living pots. If someone loses a big bloodstain, it spawns an angry crab. If 10 people or more receive an angry crab but don't find or kill it, it will become a murderous crab.

It's a bunch of crabs actually.

IIRC each time the above happens, 3 random players get those crabs in a location. I've seen a lot of those lately and i couldn't be happier.

Yeh. Mostly black ones though, since people ditch humanity a lot.

If they ditch items it becomes a red one iirc. Havent seen one here yet but they're pretty nasty in the wrong areas.

Well according to the wiki they become red if they keep being ignored/missed by the host(or kill him). The item-relate dones look like pots and never attack.

yeah i didnt see a red one in here yet though.

Most of the ones i saw in ptd were in kiln. I expect in a few months there'll be plenty more there as well.
