Not an issue with G-Sync (assuming you're not using DSR since G-sync turns itself off when that is being used).
You're refering to pixel response time, not refresh rate. Response time reduces ghosting and cleans up moving images. A 240Hz monitor with a 16ms response time is still going to have tons of ghosting.
I am, I just got excited when I saw it allowed me to select 144. Oh well, character action games like Devil May Cry feel incredible at high refresh rates, would have loved to try a souls game like that.
