That is the gimmick of that particular ring. Once it is put on, you can't take it off without breaking it and losing it all game.

Thankfully, you can get by without it just fine unless it was essential to your cookie cutter SL meta build.

Try getting Havel's ring if you don't have it yet. +50% equip load. That's ALL it does, but hey it doesn't break.

If it's essential to your build and you are not essentially endgame, then you're better off just starting the game over and curbstomping the church then punting him off a cliff within the first 30 minutes.

If it's essential for cheevo hunting, you're in for a long rough road if this is any indication, even if you trade hats for one.

Remember never to equip it unless you are in a pickle.Unequipping it would be impossible.
