Small question about "Cast Light" sorcery spell

Greetings everyone. As you know, Tomb Of Giants is a huge location just beneath the catacombs, more deeper and more difficult. It's also best known as a fully dark place where players have to explore caves and crypts like almost blindfolded. As a member of Solaire`s sunlight covenant I am fond of helping and supporting other plaeyrs in exploring different game areas and challenging boses. I am using sorcery spell "Cast Light" in Tomb Of Giants in order to see everything around and still being able to use my both hands for weapon and shield. My question may sound silly, but i literally don't know if others are able to actually SEE the lightning all around me when i cast it as a phantom ? Just want it to be effective for host as well, so i can stick to him and make him not care about this dark place. Please, answer here in this topic if you know that for sure. Thanks in advance.

Same goes to Sunlight Maggot (the helm you get on your way to Lost Izalith through the shortcut) if I'm not wrong. I've been wearing this to help people in Chasm of the Abyss and it seems they can't see that light either.

I always had a feeling that i am the only one who can see the light source, but now i know it for sure, that's a pity (((. Thank you for answers, guys.

Seriously though, that's stupid that only you can see your light source. I'm pretty sure in Dark Souls 2 (and probably Dark Souls 3) that phantoms can see your light source if you use Cast Light. Also in Dark Souls 2 and 3 torches exist so there's no way they could make that only visible to the player using the torch.
