DS4 Button Icons Flickering

So I'm out of AA's for my Xbox One controller (thanks Microsoft) so I grabbed my DS4 controller to use instead. Using DS4Windows to connect via Bluetooth, I was happy to see that in DS:R it actually has embedded menu icons for Playstation controllers.

Unfortunately when I actually start to use the controller, the icons rapidly flip between the Playstation and Xbox button indicators. I assume this is something to do with the Xinput wrapper DS4Windows is using, but since the DS4 doesn't seem to be supported natively on Windows without extra software I'm not sure what the workaround is. I don't often use it, but now that I know there is an issue I'm compelled to fix it.

Is there no way I could use both without having to uninstall the drivers for the other, do you think?

in my experience they dont work together, try big picture mode controller settings
