No riposte with left hand???

My build needs a talisman in right hand 2, iaito in right hand 1, bandit knife in left hand 1, and catalyst in left hand 2.

I want to be able to riposte with my bandit knife due to critical damage, but it seems that you can only riposte with right hand.

If I move my talisman to left hand one, I won't be able to parry. It seems the only solution is to put a parrying weapon/shield in left hand 1, bandit knife in right hand 2, iaito in right hand one, and change between talisman and catalist in left hand 2.

So it seems that this post is kind of pointless. Am I able to riposte with left hand and i'm just not positioning myself right? Any thoughts on left hand riposte? Is there left hand backstab?

You can backstab, riposte only with right hand,

you can't riposte with left hand - you'd need to menue swap fast between parry and riposte....
