Question: Weird egg on my head.

So I was cursed by some douchebag. I removed the curse by cleansing stone, but weird egg-head remained.
When I kick, pesticide is going out of my characters head. How to get rid of it?

you'll need the vermfuge egg (don't know if I spelled it right), you can find them by killing the guys with balls on their backs in quelaag's domain

Use an egg vermifuge. Several players carry some, including me. Add me and i can drop you one.

Of note: Start backing up your savegames and start going through the existing topics and block the known hackers's profile. This prevents repeat incidents.

In Darkroot garden there are lizards on trees, they drop egg vermifuge. Backup your saves next time. hackers like the one you encountered can permanently corrupt it otherwise.

TBH idk how to fix, but Im going to guess it was Malcom, a known hacker. I find it intersting how he does stuff, wouldn't do it myself, I just like coding and all.

Hackers can modify your stats, like making you rank 9999999999 in some covenant, FromSoft detects it as cheating and bans you.

Exactly this. This, however rare is still an absurd risk for your account, so backing up is one of the few things you can do to prevent ♥♥♥♥ like that.

Also avoid picking up items that other players drop for you that you might have concerns about. If an item has illegal stats or anything of the sort, it counts as a hacked item and will, as mentioned, put a ban on your profile.

Backups.

Roll back if you think you've been hacked and it shouldn't go through with the ban.

Fortunatelly I didnt take and dropped item. I just got killed by some guy. I'll check my stats and see if everything seems normal...

Make a backup of your save game. It's located in Documents\NBGI\DARK SOULS REMASTERED, in a folder with a unique ID number. Probably best to copy that whole folder out to a backup directory, and if you get hacked again, copy the folder from the backup directory back into Documents\NBGI\DARK SOULS REMASTERED, merging folders and overwriting files as needed.

Try not to do it while the game is running, though, it autosaves at unexpected intervals and making a backup copy while the game is saving might leave you with a garbled backup. Doing it from the title screen should be fine, as long as you don't do it while loading, continuing, or otherwise messing with your characters in-game.
