directX11
so i bought the game and i tried to launch it, when it started to complain about me needing directX11. I was confused and looked up my directX version, and it said directX12. So I don't know what to do, some help please?

You need hardware support too, not just the directx runtime installed with the OS.

However, Dx11 hardware came about 2009, so unless you have something very ancient, you probably have to update/reinstall your drivers. Windows updates sometimes mess them up, which can explain your situation.
