Dark Wood Grain Ring Drop

Hello there. Is any one willing to drop me the Dark Wood Grain ring if they have one and don't care for it? I'd like to get it but I also don't want to get the covenant mad at me because I plan on playing with this covenant for a bit. Since I'm doing a low weight run, it would be a great ring to have. Or if you guys know of a way to get the ring without being banned from the covenant, please do tell. Perhaps with absolution with Oswald, but I'm not sure.

I was planning on killing the ninja later cause I want the ring, so I could give it to you and then reload a back-up. You'll have to wait for a while tho.

There's a way to kill the ninja and get the ring without pissing off the covenant.

Kick him off the cliff (unequip your weapon so you don't hit him by accident) and reload the area, the ring will be where he was standing.

Or, if you've talked to Shiva and exhausted his dialogue, he will then move to blighttown, I think he just chills at the bottom of the elevator. Kick the ninja into the poison or bait an enemy over near him and bait it into attacking him

Really? I've done it before and they didn't care. You sure you ddin't hit one of them by accident and aggro them?

to get it without pissing off the covenant you gotta get shiva to blighttown. get an enemy to kill Shiva and then you can kill the ninja without any fear of getting sin (this may have changed for remastered though)

Yep. And absolution with Oswald works too. Did it many times with different chars.

Just tested it, kicking the ninja off the cliff will piss people off. Stick to baiting the enmy into attacking him

Kick the ninja off the cliff, quit out as soon as you get the souls, reload, grab loot, run for your life, go to Oswald, get absolved, rejoin Covenant.
