Allowing 4k

How does the game determin if it allows you to run it at 4k or not? i would like to try and run it at that but the highest reolution it gives me is 1440p.

how do you allow the game to scale to 4k?

Before you ask no its not to do with my monitor or my GPU.
my monitor is 1080p but the game still allows for 1440 so why not 4k, and my gpu is running the game at 1440p 60fps (with max setting in the NVIDIA controll panel) no problem.

If your monitor is only 1080p, maybe you have to setup a custom resolution in the nvidia Software first. Pretty sure I did that at some point, at least it lets me choose 4k on my 1080p Monitor.

i have a 970 which has maxwell arcitecture. so it should.

Found a fix. i went into geforce experiance and optimised the game to scale to 4k there. still dont get why it didnt let me do this by default but ye.

Ya. Hope you scroll the page in the link, there it mention how to setup/configure DSR via NVidia control panel. Make sure u check the DSR factors. They are disabled by default.
