Absolutely no sound?

Just got the game and the only thing with sound is the first intro cutscene. The rest of the game is silent, even the start menu. This happens both with and without headphones.

My audio settings are fine. All sound drivers have been updated. When I Alt-tab to check the sound mixer, everything is normal. Does anyone else have this error?

I've been flanked ♥♥♥♥ tons of times because of this (my first playthough btw so idk the ambush spots)

Yeah, thats what the new difficulty does. Makes things more difficult.

If only theres a way to lower this nightmare mode down a bit for the casul that I am.

Nope. Once it's on, you're stuck with it for that NG cycle.

I had the exact same problem and fixed it by disabling sonic studio 3 on startup and closing it in the task manager.

Still doesn't work

I verified the game files and it fixed this issue for me. not sure if it will work for anyone else but its worth a shot
