Can you slide down ladders?

I'm pretty sure all you had to do before was hold down the B button. Can you still zip down to the bottom of a ladder in a flash?

Sorry to use your post OP, but how about jump off a ladder to do a jump attack? (trying to figure this out on keyboard because my controller is broken) no luck so far

Press whatever you use for JUMP twice and hold. Took me ages to find this cause everyone says "press A" or "press O" as if everyone uses joysticks. Joysticks are bad for this game.
