Dude; just face it. You're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here just like you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in Souls 3. Shut up, stop crying; congratulations you beat DS3. Literally the easiest of all the souls games. Play the damn game or don't. Just stop being a little pansy just because now you're playing something that actually takes skill rather having 60-I frames every time you roll 80 times to dodge 1 strike from Dancer.
in short, this seems more like a case of "mad cuz bad"
End of story.
For me DS1 and Demon Souls are still the hardest , and best of the Souls games. DS2 is different and has good stuff, but also pretty bad stuff. DS3 is super cool in pve due to cool enemys and all that - but its way to easy and like I said you can just 2 button the game.
The controls are fine, are you talking about how heavy you feel in this game? The long wind-ups on swings? Other than the rolling I've never heard anybody complain of bad controls and honestly the rolling isn't even that bad. You're still invincible so what does it matter anyway?
The red dragon stronger than Midir? LOL.
You are not supposed to fight the red dragon early on. You can spot the red dragon before it starts flying overhead and bait it to come out while you run back the way you came to avoid the fire. You can hear it coming as well. Even if you die to the red dragon, it will be on the other side the next time you approach the bridge. Casually walk across the bridge, hugging the right side, and proceed down the stairs.
With the exception of a very small handful of bosses, Dark Souls I is definitely the easiest in the Dark Souls trilogy once you get used to the limited 4-directional roll when locked on.
Again, you're playing this game with preconceptions from DS3. I played this game with no idea of how it was to be played. Boy was it hard and learning it all was the best part. There is a common wish among many DS players to relive playing this game for the first time.
All games have artificial difficulty. They are all given difficulty created by the developers, thus it is artificial. If there was no difficulty, then you would beat the game as soon as you launch the game. These controls do not feel crummy to me. You experience that because of what you are used to. Just get used to it, start learning and reacting to the game, and git gud as many have said. Experienced players can get through the game no problem.
This comparison you make is akin to the original pokemon red/blue gameboy games vs. modern pokemon games. The old games back then, you often had no idea where to go, some abilities were useless on pokemon, nor balanced. But playing it, you learn the game and all its contents and enjoy it when you triumph over its challenges.
I really think you're being shallow about this. Try to appreciate what this game is.
Build a sense of real achievement.
If you need some help just ask! No shame about that. :)
