* Equip a bow to your left hand
* Right click with a mouse - the bow should be now held in two hands
* Right click with a mouse again - aim activated
* Right click again - aim deactivated
* Press F to switch back to your right hand weapon
1) hold R1 and aim manually, hitting a specific target is almost impossible
2) press R3(joystick) to lock on, it sucks mostly because a sidestepping opponent can evade
3) press L1 to zoom in, it sucks because aim movement is so slow
I find that 3) is only good to snipe at long range(headshot while drinking SunnyD is best), which means the hawk ring is a must and doing 1) to then follow up with 2) at the last second is not bad; effectively confusing your opponent with a wiggly archer quickly aiming left and right like a madman who locks on at the last second to let go of the bow string...it's tech from DS3, sorta works in DSR just not as good. Locking on can work up close, fire when they have an animation happening like they just finished the first half of a roll.
Aiming with a crossbow sucks, these projectile weapons are mostly garbage, accept for the best crossbow build I know of; dual welding lightning Avelyns and using lightning bolts. Hope you have a good soul farming method or know how to dupe stackable items, like great hero souls(20,000 soul)...then use one 999 times, hehehe(1,980,000 for 1 large hero soul).
I loooove the glitches/exploits, they must be easier for KB/M,
