yeah...
that game cared about 1 thing, the clock speed of your cpu. High end desktop i7s still get drops in that game. Laptop cpus cannot come close to 4ghz. You only had to rest at a bonfire and your fps would tank.
got a i7-4720hq @ 3.6ghz so dont know what the problem is
also my fps in prepare to die edition never would tank sitting at a bonfire ???
this
its a nice remaster and def has some quality of life improvements over the original that will keep me playing but i expected more from the preformance
dont think its my laptops hardwares fault considering i can run games like demon souls in rpcs3 at 1440p 30fps (cuz its capped for now obv untill the 60fps patch is done), and zelda botw at 1440p 30fps in cemu
both games that run in emulators so theyre even more demanding than ur regular dark souls pc port/"remaster" (which feels p much like the hl2 update mod)

imagine having min requirements this high for ur port/remaster of a game from 2011 just to cover up the fact isnt optimized at all
im not saying the remaster is bad bc the the good outweigh the bad but ppl really need to stop defending the bare minimum of work that has gone into this, it just looks sad
