Stuck on "Checking Save Data..."
I launched the game and I've been stuck on "Checking Save Data" forever now. Now it says I have insufficient free space. Can someone help me here?

I have it in appdata
Hey guys, small update I fixed the issue. Turns out, my computer was blocking the darksouls ".exe" file from operating, I had to go into my settings and basically OK my computer to accept the program. If you guys have Windows 10, check to see if that is the case, I think this came with the new recent update to W10

Okay, I figured it out and got it working for me. It was an issue with my antivirus and firewall settings. If you're on the latest Windows 10 like me, go to settings, Update and Security, Windows Security, and then go through your "virus and threat proteciton" settings and "Firewall and Network" settings to ensure that the .exe file for the game is excluded from their lists.

If you've excluded the .exe file from your firewall and antivirus, then I'd suggest verifying the game cache through Steam, try running the program in compatability mode for Windows 8 or 7, and worst case would be uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it. It's dumb that the game is having this issue in the first place.

Also keep in mind that something could be amiss with your storage drive. It's a slim chance that that's what's causing the problem, but it's just something to keep in mind.

Ok I think I found something:
- I did create the folder in C:\Users\[ME]\Documents\NBGI\DARK SOULS REMASTERED
-I add the game on Microsoft Security essentials exclusion :
Open Settings.
Click on Update & security.
Click on Windows Defender.
Protected folder access (the 4th option there) -> the game in the steam folder (for me it was D:\[me]\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS REMASTERED\DarkSoulsRemastered.exe)
Reboot PC
Launch the game
PS: for those who have issues while launch with admin create a .txt named "steam_appid.txt" and just write "570940" in it
Hope it will helps someone else
