Ok I read through it, everything said was anything and everything I already know about prior.
The user still hasn't given any valid specs, and so good thing I gave a solution to help do so quickly.
I already know about the "possible" patch coming as they had information on a maybe future fix.
This is what they said. -
"Additional note: We have flagged some issues with occasional drops in FPS that some players have raised. We are currently working on a correction to this problem, and we will inform you the moment that a solution is available. Thank you for your kind patience."
Read about it here, it's at the very bottom of the info. -

Any of the other helpful information given that I read, I already know about how to solve since computers are my area and running through the comments they were very simple, even the comments about the Nvidia Control Panel.
Now stop the "you need 4 GB free" meme pls
@OP you should really update your first post so that it has some basic info of what's going on if you want people to stop posting useless comments, I can kinda understand why they're not reading 19 pages of comments and they're just dropping their extremely helpful "download more RAM"
Sometimes mods or fixes in patches can be applied.
With a 4 GB RAM computer, and modern gaming these days or really any gaming today, most games require more than 8 or 16 GB of RAM, and they usually take up 4 - 11 GB of Video RAM from the graphics card, and don't question that, I should know with extensive testing and the fact that with the right keys, some of my games actually show what they use.
That doens't mean you can't run it on an older computer "depending on if the PC hardware allows some of the latest DirectX versions such as DX 11 and DX 12, maybe even Vulkan." otherwise the game won't even open if your graphics card is older than the minimum DirectX allowed, this remastered version of the game was updated from DX 9 to DX 11, probably to allow for the spell visuals which is cheesy for just that only reason after so many years.
And when you have 4 GB RAM in your computer, this means "virtual memory" is going to kick in from the hard drive or SSD, which uses space as memory for the application such as the game itself when the game requires more memory, it uses the equivalent in space you would think, though it uses more space than what the game needs, and it slowly drains the drive space over time until you get a game crash when it runs out, which sometimes restarts your PC at the worst, or you get a game crash.
Virtual memory from the hard drive "HDD".. is slower that necessary, because it's file swapping between the drive and replacing files in RAM when there isn't enough space, the drive reallocates space for extra game files acting as extra memory.
And RAM is a lot faster than the hard drive.
Though Solid State Drives "SSD's" these days, the Samsung 860 EVO SATA SSD which is limited to the speed of the SATA cable at around 550 MB / sec and 600 MB / sec total, especially the NVMe M.2 2280 PCI-e x4, such as the Samsung 970 EVO which looks like a tiny RAM stick and goes on your motherboard for the fastest modern drives read and write at about 3,300 Megabytes / sec, not megabits.., and 2,500 - 2,800 MB / sec write speeds, are extremely fast.
And so file swap might be fast but it's a very cruel thing to do to your PC and not only causes headaches because of slowdowns or problems, and leaves your Windows OS with no memory, but also cruel to the PC itself as it works extra hard and thus heats up the PC itself, it is also placing a lot of stress on the CPU and GPU on top of that, where the GPU will also be doing a lot of work depending on the amount of Video Memory it has.
This has been known about since Windows 95 - Windows 98 so it's not exactly mind blowing.
Simply put, the more RAM, Video Memory, better CPU, RAM, and GPU speeds, with a really nice SSD and new motherboard with a new CPU, GPU, and RAM, the better your system will run with less drive loading / file swapping from virtual memory and less issues.
You can tell your drive is on full load when there is a blinking red light on the PC, usually it's the C drive but it might not blink if you have your games on another drive, you might hear it with a hard drive instead of a Solid State Drive, keep in mind your HDD and SSD will still get hot from being used as Virtual Memory and needs to be kept ultra cool, especially if your room temp rises, and your PC collects dust, all 4 sides of the PC from the front, back, and the 2 sides.. will need to be cleaned off from the air vents where the fans blow the air in and out, also check your CPU heatsink fan, the GPU fans, power supply, and PC system fans for dust, even check the CPU heatsink for dust as it will collect and the CPU heatsink fan won't blow cool air onto the heatsink if it's covered, causing your system to shut down from a high end temp, or you could also lose your CPU.
In the long run, it will save you headaches by upgrading what's most important, other than just buying games and cash grabs, which already gave an indication what you do with your money "since you did buy the remastered", you have no excuse for not saving up and not spending money wisely.
I save up and buy upgrades or new PC hardware so that I can work on game development with projects I have, and to future proof my PC hardware for gaming.
Simply put, go cheap and give yourself lots of headaches, and PC hardware that "might" go out on you within a short time, also making things incompatible or unstable.
And you know I'm right about that. Have patience and spend wisely, only buy games that are really of interest that are coming out, not cash grabs or cheesy "random" games.
Sometimes I have to keep myself from buying games I would like to get, just to save up for the PC hardware and I'm glad that I did, my PC is extreme, way beyond your PC specs and what you can imagine, but again that's from saving up, and I plan to continue to upgrade and buy new PC hardware over time when possible.
Make smart choices with your money.
If that was true, I wouldn't be helping people to start their own Dark Souls projects, or fan projects, and I made this to help others.

Yet for some of us that meet those requirements the game simply wont even launch and instead we are greeted by an unfriendly error message telling us that we do no, in fact, meet the requirements for the game. And the fact that this isn't even just an issue limited to users with very low end PCs is an even bigger problem and tells me that it is not completely a hardware issue and is more likely a software issue that is, forwhatever reason, reading something incorrectly. This seems like the exact sort of issue that should be fixed by a patch on Day One. Not something the user should have to go out of their way to fix.
If I really wanted to get a NEW PC I could save up and spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on one, but that isn't something I personally feel that I need in my life. My PC runs (mostly) every game that I want it to and it (does) run every program that I need it to, I see no need to upgrade just to run a port of a game that is 7 years old, especially when I meet the officially listed requirements.
Sorry I didn't want to read this wall of text.
All I see is a bunch of excuses when people are in denial of facts, go back and read my comments if you want the proof or continue to make yourselves look bad.
Also the other guy is right, you're not reading comments from the page before, I already mentioned about the game being a patch that you have to pay for and it being old, I've already talked about this also in other threads, so before you make any other hasty comments that are out of line, please do go back on the other page and read all the comments and correct yourself.
Obviously my comments were not biased, as I mentioned both reasons for the game being old and a cash grab for the remastered, but I don't agree with an old computer either, this is just stubborn behavior and denial, and I won't put up with it.
I am either going to leave a comment as to why for the reasons, or I'm not going to come back to read here because of the denial. Goes in one eyeball and out the other for those of you in such denial because you want to make excuses to waste money, simply because you have no positive attitude or will power to choose wisely on how to spend your money.

System specs are not the issue, how you spend your money is not the issue. The game itself has an issue. You can't make a "smart choice with your money" if you're not even sure if the game will run with 16 GB of RAM... or rather, the only smart choice to do would be to avoid buying the game, regardless of how powerful your pc is.
