BUG: Rolling is broken?
Something I noticed immediately. When running on a diagonal and trying to roll it will often ignore the input.

Holding W+A or W+D and trying to roll, it will fail to roll A LOT of the time. Sometimes I press roll 10 times before it registers. Other times it works as intended.

Also happens with controller but not as often, I was able to reproduce a couple times.

I tried on the old Prepare to Die and it does not have this issue.

Give it a try, you should see what I'm talking about after 30 or so seconds of trying. Let me know if anyone else has this issue.

I've played DS:PTDE for a few hundred hours with KB&M (with better mouse control mod). There is something wrong in the remaster

IIRC I had read lots on the K70 when I was thinking of purchasing it and had seen people mention it had ghosting issues in various games, just not all.

Still I have 0 problem when I play with keyboard despite the fact I prefer controller.

It's not a keyboard anti-ghosting related issue. Any other combination of keys works perfectly fine (changing weapon, controlling the camera, etc.)

I even tried to bind roll on the mouse, and still the same issue. It's related to the backstep/roll mechanic. It seems like if you walk at a perfect 45° angle rolls don't register properly. It could explain why it happens with keyboard and not so much with a controller. Because as long as you press W+D you're walking at such an angle.

I have the same problem with my logitech g810, you get used to it though, just hold one button at a time while rolling. Not really a huge issue but would be nice to see a fix for it.

Also it seems like the camera angle has something to do with it, because on bosses that moves around a lot and very fast where I constantly had to swing my camera around with the mouse this seemed to happen a lot more.

This is a known issue returning from PTDE, it was fixed by using 'Dark Souls Mouse Fix' or 'Dark Souls Input Customizer' mods. This has nothing to do with lock-on or ghosting - this is about key presses not registering when they should.

From the PTDE mod page on PC Gaming Wiki:

Movement Bindings

The keybindings to move the character differ on a technical level from those you can bind ingame. They should fix the problem of sometimes not being able roll when running diagonally and not moving the camera at the same time, which existed in the game since launch.

Thank you Hols. As I said, I've only played PTDE with the Mouse Fix (or with a controller). So I couldn't tell if it was something new or not.

Well I hope either the dev team will fix it or someone will make a new mod. Input Customizer was awesome.

I have the same problem. I hope developers find a solution. I feel pretty uncomfortable.

Im using a controller and this is a bug. When locked on, you can only roll forward, back, left or right. this makes locking on unviable near entirely as you cannot roll behind an enemy, only into their face. Also the left and right roll curves you slightly around the enemy so you also roll like a beyblade.

That can be annoying, but it is intentional and not what we mean. We are talking about being unable to roll while holding down 2 movement keys - locked on or not. Imagine your B button stopped working if your left stick wasn't perfectly straight up/down/left/right.

Hoped they would fix this bug, the cause is pretty obvious, when you are moving at perfect 45 degree angle the game can't decide if you want to roll forward or sideways so your character doesn't do anything
