Do Old Mods Still Work?
If I wanted to install some of the mods for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, would they work with the remaster? All the coding is identical, isn't it?

No, mods are not allowed in this version as well as DS2 and DS3, altering files will get you banned.
dark souls remastered is 64 bit, meaning code is completely different from dark souls prepare to die, which was 32 bit.
I checked the install folder, the game comes unpacked, so something like Dark Souls Unpacker wouldn't be necessary like it is for PTDE
BUT, like Nova said, it's in a different format. Both in terms of files and coding.

There's a chance we could see current mods like Prepare to Die Again or Breath of the Soul ported, but for now, the answer is "no"
If you mod this ver, you'll get banned. you better not.
Depends on the mods, most likely cheat engine tables wont work anymore becasue like people said that this version uses a 64bit executable so all the memory values would be different, but mods that change file contents or files themselves like Item and enemy randomizers or optional textures should still work.

And it's not even true. None of the games actually check file integrity. The only way to get banned is either save data with invalid content or in case of DS3 and DS:R using CE while online.
