oh and my claymore was +15 before i turned it into gwyn's sword
try uchi +15 and use power within. never been to ng+ but that's how i beat 4 kings in ng and i had to wait for a new king to spawn, that's how fast they died
It sounds like to me you're quite spread out..
NEVER summon for the fight. you'll never have the DPS to overcome one of the kings before another spawns.
equip a claymore or another greatsword of the same weight. at NG+ its at +15 so the DPS is fine.
equip it as two-handed - you wont be blocking anyway, thats just wasting stamina.
equip stamina replenishing gear only. use buffs.
run to the king ASAP and just start wacking away, only stopping once the stamina depletes, using this time to pop an estus.
if you stay close enough, you will actually be hit by the HILT of his sword, not the blade, doing a lot less damage.
then just go crazy.
The real issue is that it is a DPS race.
true
thats why its such a unique fight. most other bosses have an exploit or a weakness. with 4Kings you just forget about skill and tactics and just rush in mashing buttons.
amazing!
More like a unique bad design.
DPS race create a gear/level artificial barrier and are a big no-no in game that emphasise skill and not level/gear-based progress.
