Can you parry greatswords in ds1?

I have been playing ds3 where you cant parry 2 handed weapons like the Fume Greatsword, i would like to know it its the same here

but no one parrys anymore

Everything but all jumping attacks (forward+strongattack), 2h greathammer rolling attacks and all whip attacks can be parried.

Oh and kicks can't be parried either, but the kick-substitutes for curved swords etc. can.
