Before the remaster KB+M controls were just awful. Don't know what the situation is now though...

I was a huge fan of bloodborne for ps4, never played any other souls game. Since they dont make bloodborne for PC though should I pick this up first?

If you liked Bloodborne, you will -probably- like Dark souls as well, though DS is a slower, more defensive game. I personally also prefer the setting of the Dark Souls games to the more Victorian setting of BB.

If you liked bloodborne for its fast paced combat you are probably not gonna like this one because in this game movement and combat is extremely slow once you get comfortable with bloodborne speed. If you haven't played Dark Souls 3 try that one since that's a little bit faster and more up in bloodborne's alley in terms of combat. Then if you like that one try Dark Souls 1

LOL even if controller is better (and it 110% is), the game will not be on PS4. PC > Console regardless of preferred input device. I'd say the only sound reason to get it on console is if you want to play co-op and have a bunch of console pleb buddies that bought it for console.

X-Box Controller. I did not own a controller before Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition. The mouse and keyboard control was terrible, so I bought a controller after all. Even though the mouse and keyboard control in Remastered Edition is finally fine, I would still play Dark Souls with the controller. It is just made for it.

I would buy on pc and use controller because console frame rates and graphics are bad so if you are gonna buy it anywhere buy it on pc

Jk. Also, you can't fast swap weapons from your inventory on KB+M.

I'd really like to use controller, but there's something janky going on with it. I can't do strong attacks except when backing out of the menu, the game autoscrolls to the bottom of the inventory screen and the main menu, and I haven't even touched any of the settings.

You can get the PC version and use your DS4 controller, by setting it up through Steam, if you find the KB/M controls uncomfortable.

The PS4 version isn't really that different, but you will lose out on neat mods, which could add some extra replayability. If you don't care for modding, widescreen support (or 1440p/4K if you don't have a PS4 Pro), either version is fine.

i use keyboard and mouse too,

i imagine if one was used to using a controller it might be smoother to use to backstab in pvp
