All items from Covenants in one game
There's a lot of covenants. My goal is to get all of the items/spells/miracles in one game. I have to do multiplayer to get everything. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only covenants that require me to go online is Warrior of Sunlight and Forest Hunter.

List of covenants and their requirements to get all items
Warrior of Sunlight - 10 Sunlight Medals and Gwyn's Soul
Princess Guard -
Way of White -
Darkwraith - 30 Humanity
Forest Hunter - 3 Forest Hunter pvp kills
Path of the Dragon - 30 Dragon Scales
Blade of the Dark Moon - 10 Souvenirs
Gravelord Servant - 10 Eyes of Death
Chaos Servant - 30 Humanity

Sunlight Medals, 4 obtained in game, can get 1 from each boss (unsure about taurus) by summoning a sunlight bro, 5 can be from summoning Solaire for (gargs, gaping,o&s,cent, gwyn) and Solaire must survive. Earn 1 by being in the covenant and summoned into a players world and kill the boss.

Dragon Scales, 10 found in game and farm the remaining 20 Dragon Scales from Blue Drakes (20% drop), that's 100 Blue Drake kills. Or you get place your red summon sign in other worlds and hope somebody challenges you by summoning you into their world, if you beat them you get a Dragon Scale.

Souvenirs, 2 found in game and farm the remaining 8 from Crow Demons (25% drop), or 32 Crow Demon kills. Or use the blue orb/ring to invade sinners, beat them and get a souvenir.

Eyes of Death, 6 found in game, 3 bought from patches, 1 from Basilisks (25% drop), or 4 Basilisk kills. Or use the pvp aspect of the covenant to be rewarded with Eyes of Death, which I admit I don't know howto, after reading the wiki twice, I have no clue how the covenant works, but I have seen the gravelord sign in my world and the message 'disasters removed from the world with the gravelord defeated'. My worlds have never been infected. Ever.

tmk, infected means that new PvE enemies will be added to your world as red phantoms, they are stronger than the normal enemy, if you see that, find the nearby gravelord summon, go into their world, kill them, then your world is back to normal. I would love a dumbed down guide to this covenant.

How much humanity will I need? 60 for the covenants. 10 for max item find. 1 to go human, 2-3 to kindle all bonfires.

Now that the rules are out of the way, here's what I did/plan todo.
  • 4 hours to kill gargs 19 times (SL15). I had to kill them once outside of the covenant which took about 20-25 minutes to be summoned. If your Faith stat is under 25, you will have be summoned to kill gargs at least once just to join the covenant. (With Faith at 20-24 once, 15-19 twice, 10-14 thrice, 8-9 four-oh-boy). Once in the covenant, you get priority and summon time is about 10-15 minutes. Was also rewarded with 1 soft humanity after every kill.
  • 1 hour to get 3 Forest Hunter Kills (SL29).
  • Grind through every soft humanity area in the game to get my 110 (max) soft humanity. Stop the grind once I got what I need.
  • Kill 100 Drakes while hoping somebody summons me. Could be 50, could be 200, it sounds like an all-day event.
  • Kill 32 Crow Demons, could be 16, could be 64. I'm guessing 2 hours.

Notes:
For Sunlight, I went for 20 early medals, cause I was having fun. Only need 10 medals, this should've taken half the time (2 hours). FYI, of 19 garg fights, only came across 1 who died to gravity. I was 19-1 vs gargs.

For Forest Hunters, I think SL29 was too high, but I was fortunate enough there was a friendly PvP player who stayed in the forest just for PvP. I also got beat by him when I was SL15. SL15 let's me invade SL14-26. SL29 lets me invade SL26-61. So I know that player I fought was exactly SL26, amazing luck. The guide suggests co-op for Sif at SL20-50, meaning SL22 should be the max. I suggest after beating gargs, ringing the bell, and ranking up sunlight to +1, do not pass go, do not level, run straight to the Forest to get in the covenant, put on the ring. Now you can play the game as normal, just don't level up.
I went 3-4 in PvP.

Questions:
I know I have some form of wrong information or not doing something optimal. If you've anything to add, feel free. I'm curious of the overall experience with the Path of the Dragon and Gravelord Servent covenants. and how fast is the PvP in Blade of the Dark Moon.

You can also farm sunlight medals from the chaos bugs in demon ruins/lost izalith. IT is quite a rare drop though

If you get frequent summons it's probably faster by doing bosses but if not you can always get them from there as well.

Also your number of kills could potentially be way off. There is a 25% chance a basilisk will drop an eye but that doesn't mean you'll get one within 4 kills. You could get it on your first kill, but you could also get in on your 8th kill. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't be too fixated on the Nr of kills (especially for the crow demons, could take quite a bit longer).

Thank you Nobby.

As an update. Scratch Forest Hunter, the Ring of Fog can be gotten from snuggly and a divine blessing from Rhea/etc:
0 kills - Cat Covenant Ring
1 kill - Divine Blessing
3 kills - Ring of Fog

With what you said and what I found about Forest Hunter, doesn't look like you need to be online at all. Covenants provide different ways to play multi-player, but their rewards maybe better gotten offline. Like you said, it does really depend on how much you get 'summoned.'

Sunlight seems faster to level up when you play offline, downside is I must have 25 Faith to get into the covenant. If my final build for the game didn't plan on 25+ Faith it's better to play online at least until I can join the covenant. But to rank up, it's better offline. You get 1 Medal from Lautrec, 3 from Anor Londo, up to 5 from Solaire (need to spend humanity to be human). But Solaire is bat crazy, must've been all that staring at the sun. I seen him run into bosses and just spam R1. If he dies during the fight, I don't get a Medal from him.

So I only *need* to grind 1 from Chaos Bugs (12% drop), there's 9 bugs there to grind, but it'd be better to grind up to 6 Medals to cover Solaire. It's 2 minutes from bonfire to killing all 9 bugs, average says you get 1 medal per run. It took me about 10-15 minutes per summon to get 1 medal, 6 medals would take 60-90 minutes online or 12-24 minutes offline.

Update, for Eyes of Death, I can't buy any from Patches as he becomes a merchant after killing Nito. I can't upgrade the Gravelord covenant if Nito is dead. No matter, must farm 4 from Basilisks, they're a common drop and can be found in a couple places. I got my 4 after running through the basilisks in the Depths 3 times, no gold serpent ring.

I'm scared about farming the crows and drakes, but I bet it's way easier than farming most of this soft humanity I got. No way I'd be grinding that if I wasn't 1-shotting everything with a BKH.

A good way to grind humanities if you still need them(the consumable) is by killing the rats in the depths closest to the bonfire.

There are 5 rats on the right side where the great axe is and I think 4 or 5 rats a bit further ahead. Homeward bone back and repeat.

Thanks. From the bonefire in the depths, I went through lower Depths 3x and got 2 humanity from all of the rats, 4 eyes from the Basilisks. I think I'll revisit the rats after getting the gold serpent ring on or about Tuesday.

Went through the upper Depths for 2-3 hours, clearing out the slimes & hollows, got 10 large tits, 9 green tits, 10 soft humanity.

So far, the fastest soft humanity I got was from Undead Parish. The Sunlight bonfire, you can lightning spear the 3 hollow soldiers on the bridge and get back to the bonfire in 15 seconds or so.

Yeah any farming you do for drops really should be done with the gold serpent ring, even for common drops it makes a big difference.

Soft humanity isn't affected by item discovery So if you don't have the covetous ring that's probably best for you at the moment.

If you have a firekeeper soul you can just use the duping glitch to get an unlimited supply of humanity

OR go to the DLC Abyss and farm, easly, 10-20 humanity.

You mean from the sprites before the fight with manus? Might be a bit further than where he's at right now, but would indeed be a great place to farm.

Your choice, whole place is filled with humanities. I think the most efficient is place near the dark sorcerer, before broken bridge to Manus.
Side note: You can go there after after killing Ornstein and Smough, very early on. Or learn how to dupe the Fire Keeper soul.

That'll be for the speedrun. Thanks :)

Thanks for the replies. No doubt when I get to the DLC I'll try farming there.

I'm at 60 humanity right now heading to blighttown. If I could see in Tomb, I could've gotten the white ring when I was down there getting the 3 Eyes of Death and saving Rhea. Can't get the maggot head until after Queelag, there's no miracle that provides light, I'm at 8 int and can't cast the light spell (requires 14 int). I know, it's a bad excuse, I simply don't know the Tomb well enough to do it without light or to use the Skull Lantern and not get killed.

FYI, getting 10 soft humanity in Undead Parish would take under 60 minutes if you had a ranged nuke by that point. It might even be under 30 minuts. Doing this run, I'm learning the routes that give you soft humanity the fastest, ironically that route in the Depths was the fastest, I was 1-shotting the slimes via Combustion and a +8 pyro glove.

With max item drop, how long does it take to farm 10 humanity from the DLC Abyss?

Hard to tell but enemies there do not drop anything more, so the drop chance is high as well as You can get twinhumanites(I'm not sure if those enemies, bigger humanites, are one time spawns). The humanities(enemies) are easy to kill and there are lots of them. Usually for me, in the spot near black sorc, I had something around 5-10 humanites per run with standard gear.

Forgot you can't play online if you dup at all. not a big deal, but I should first check what each covenant is like ranking it up online vs offline.

I went back into Tomb to get the white ring.

If you're getting 5-10 humanity per run, then me farming soft humanity anywhere is dumb. Luckily there's Undead Parish to farm it which would contribute towards the 30 humanity needed for Chaos Servant (before you can get the gold ring).

Anybody know more than the wiki regarding the Darkwraith covenant?

In the wiki and videos I found it states you can not speak to Frampt after you get the lord vessel.
Frampt appears much earlier than that.
Can you talk to Frampt before you get the lord vessel and still join the covenant?
Nobby Jul 23, 2019 @ 10:28pm
Dont think so. I thought you can't talk to frampt at all or kaathe won't appear (unless they changed it)
