Fix to Frame Lags in Dark Souls Remastered (slow motion gameplay)

Description of the Problem:
So apparently even, or especially, on newer hardware the Remastered can cause lags which the original does not cause.
The reason behind this is that game speed is tied to the frame rate of the game. Since the game wants to run at 60fps, any framerate below that will have the effect of slow motion.
Say the game runs at 30fps then you will need twice as much real time to perform an action than you would with 60fps.

From what I saw fog will cause frame lags. For example around the first firelink bonfire there is a lot of fog and your character will do everything in slow motion. Some other things might cause it as well but that is mostly where I experienced it. Even during some boss fights.
Since this is extremely annoying and makes the game borderline unplayable we need a fix

How to Fix:
Put the game in bordlerless mode
For some reason borderless windowed mode fixes the frame lags. I am not sure whats the technical reasoning behind this but it will render things correctly. You do not need to change any other graphic options.
You find this option in the settings of the game. Switch Fullscreeen to Borderless (or windowed - however I have heard windowed does not fix it)

If you have an older PC try removing the other graphic details first. They do not impact performance that great but lowering AA can help a bit.
Lowering the resolution might also help, but then you need to run it windowed.

I have not tried it and I generally try to stay away from anything that goes further than adjusting settings in my nvidia tools or any .ini file. Third party programs are usually the last option for me.

If it still does not work try your nvidia control panel or search the internet if there is a newer fix out.
And if it still does not work ask for a refund.

Just tried this and for some reason it was reversed. Borderless still had the lag spike but windowed did not.
