Corrupted save data fix?

I recently bought DSR, but I unfortunately get the "save data was corrupted" message everytime I start up this game. I looked up what this was, and it was a common problem where anti-virus software treat the game files as if they are corrupted. Most people on forums say that you have to go into your anti-virus software and disable it's control over DSR.

However, My only anti-virus software is the standard Windows stuff (for Windows 10) as far as I know, and I can't find where or how to put DSR on some sort of white-list.

Does anyone have tips or a solution for me? Thanks

maybe reinstall the game. run the game as admin? idk man

How do you run a game as admin? And what does that do? I've never heard of that

go to the folder that the game is in and look for the darksoul exe and right click on it the properties show up and look for the run as admin.

also try to verifiy the files with steam if you know how.

No, nothing worked yet. I've reinstalled the game, I've tried to do a lot of things in my security programs to make them not care about DSR, I've tried to run the game as admin, I've tried the windows problem fixer, but nothing works unfortunately.
Refunding also isn't really an option since I have 4 hours in the game and I bought it more than 2 weeks ago.
