Summoning signs
Hey guys, ive recently bought DS remastered and its the first DS i play on PC so i dont know, maybe this is a known issue:

When i place my summoning sign i usually get summoned in less than a minute by someone, and then he usually summons another player if there isnt already a third guy.
But i personally havent seen any other summoning sign except the NPC ones so far.

Is this normal?

You can only see summon signs from others if you are human. If you are hollow you can't see them.

Well yeah i know, but i dont see any, i just wait around bonfires as human seeing no signs, but when i place mine im instantly summoned by someone.

It also depends on your SL and if anyone is possible match within the area.

Also, pretty sure you can't summon friendly phantoms in areas where you've already cleared the boss

I think the problem here is that you're waiting around the bonfire. Some places like the Firelink Shrine aren't co op areas. You can see which areas you can co op if your whitesign soapstone isn't greyed out and you can place your sign on the ground.

Also you can't co op in areas in which you already defeated the boss. And don't forget that you need to be human. Your Soul Level and Weapon Level (+1~+15 upgraded weapons) will determine your matchmaking so if you upgrade your weapons and level alot then chances are you overleveled the area or you're underleveled.
