For the reference I can run the original Dark Souls 2 at 1366x768 with medium+ quality at 40~50 fps. Assassin's creed Rogue can also reach 50 fps as it has decent optimization. The worst performance I've experienced so far is Tomb Raider at only 23 with lowest quality.

Also I'm not expecting it to run on 1920x1080, just hoping it would run smoothly at maybe 720p with medium graphics

ok, mr. sith lord, i had a few drinks and answer your question by asking a question myself:

how will anybody be able to tell except for someone who has the exact setup that you have?

and

why don't you buy the game and try it out? worst case you can't play it but have the opportunity once you invest in better hardware and to be honest i would strongly suggest so because the game is beautiful especially downsampled.

Many thanks, Sm0k3f47h3r. I would indubitably invest in better hardware once I get the chance, but for some light gaming, the budget laptop is sufficient.

I will take your advice and try to run it, though I'm not optimisitc.

Personally, I feel like the Intel UHD 620 is highly underestimated, for it can actually handle some mainstream games like Dark Souls 2 at decent fps. So I'm sure people with a similar setup would want to look into this thread :)

P.S. I sent you a friend request as we both have Fallout: New Vegas at about 70hrs on board, I don't have many friends on steam yet lol. pls accept :)

Will you be able to run it? Most likely, yes. At 60fps, most likely not. The biggest issue with this is that Dark Souls remastered doesn't have any settings you can tweak to increase performance other than the simple motion blur, ambient occlusion, etc. However, you can choose the resolution if I'm not mistaken. Anti aliasing and graphics settings aren't available to tweak via the in game menu though. My bet is, it won't do well at 1080p.

Hi there, it has been a long time since I created this thread, and I was using the Intel UHD 620 in 2019. The game ran poorly, and if I remember correctly, I only got 30-20fps on 720P all low settings. Later I upgraded to a Nvidia MX250 and the game ran fine 60fps. Hope this was helpful. :praisesun:
