What is repression work?
Generally speaking, abnos are kept in check by performing work that keeps them happy (Red = physical needs, white = intellectual needs, purple = emotional needs), but in the case of Repression work, how does that square? From my understanding, you're repressing the abnormality rather than making them comfortable - why would that ever trigger a good result?

Repression work is controlling their emotions and reigning them back. Some Abnormalities are incredibly emotional, often too much so, and helping them reign it back can help them.

It's not a question of keeping them in check, it's a question of producing energy. Generally the most effective way of producing it would be to keep the abnos happy, but sometimes the most effective way would be to use force instead. Think of the Beauty and the Beast. They literally die if you do two repressions in a row. Another one with good chances on repression is, I believe, Scorched Girl. She seems to have had a miserable life, so she is used to it, she most likely sees it as a norm, so when you treat her bad (repression) it like her everyday life was. Instead she has low chances on attachment work because, I guess, she never had anyone show her attachment.
Schadenfreude doesn't seem to like attention, so the less attention you pay to it the better, which would mean disregarding its existnece.
That's the way I see it anyway.

By this time, the beast has awoken, and must be fought back by employees with various instruments. Doing this allows the enkephalin to pass through various pipes and machines to produce usable energy, and prevents the beast from ushering in the Second Trumpet.
