ALEPH Tier List
Army In Black: A Zayin in title only. The big problem with this abnormality is that it's counter goes down whenever five people die in your facility. Since it's labeled as a Zayin, the experience gained from working on it is poor, and the weapon (having a setup animation before it can be fired) isn't great. On the plus side, the counter can be brought back up my suppressing other abnormalities, and the armor is kinda nice.

Score: C

Blue Star: The gear and the experience from this thing is great. So long as you follow the directions in the dossier, this thing will only rarely break out. That said, when it does you might as well just reset.

Score: S

CENSORED: A bit of a mixed bag. Like other ALEPH, it's great for leveling, but the biggest problem is that any agent that goes in will instantly lose 60% of their sanity, so the best black-resistant armor you have is strongly recommended. The weapon isn't great, and you can't get any armor from it. That said, it's probably one of the easier ones to put down if things go south.

Score: B

Melting Love: Probably one of the more dangerous ALEPHs to deal with on a regular basis. I'd recommend even more caution than I would with CENSORED. The gear is great, but ultimately she'll turn your department into a no-fly zone, so I can't recommend keeping her after you've collected her gear.

Score: D

Nothing There: Same comments as Blue Star - totally amazing if handled correctly, and the gear makes it all worth it. That said, in the off-chance he breaks out, you're better off resetting.

Score: S

Mountain of Smiling Bodies: Gear and Experience are solid, but the big problem is he breaks out if too many people die. He's easy to kill at first, but if left to roam for too long will take your entire base to put down. My opinion? A distraction you might be better off without come late game.

Score: B

Silent Orchestra: The gear is great, but his gimmick, less so. My advice is harvest and run. I'd give him a D, but since his counter is set at 2, you at least have a warning before things go south.

Score: C

WhiteNight: One of the hardest and yet most rewarding abnormalities in the game. On one hand, he's great for powerleveling and will regularly bless your base (if the results are good), and his armor is amazing. The downside is you literally have to kill him to get his weapon and comes with a countdown timer so if you forget about him for too long he'll trigger the rapture event which - even if you win - is probably going to result in a reset. Lots of pros, lots of cons, but ultimately I think it's best left up to the discretion of the player.

Score: C

On the lob corp wiki I joked about all of them being S tier, Ig ill make a serious one here.

Army in Black and Mountain of Smiling Boddies: ill lob both the "escape when employees die" in one category, cause IMO they play the exact same. Both Mountain of Smiling Bodies and Army in Black are the weakest ALEPHs, both having 500 HP or lower. They both have the same way of defeating them due to their weakness to Red Damage. Both of them are a major threat when other things are going on at the same time. However at the same time I like their Armor. Score: B

Silent Orchestra: First ALEPH to be added in the modern version, and its kinda trash besides its armor and weapon. It was designed to allow any employee to work on it in order to grind levels, but its mechanic and damage rly holds it back from its niche. I give it a Score of F solely because of how it was implemented and how old it is. The mechanic worked far better in Legacy then it does in the modern version. Score: F

CENSORED: One of the many abnormalities I wanted to see in LoR for 1 reason, what does this thing look like. I've talked a few times about its appearance on the Wiki on what I think it looks like, but it is still very inconclusive. Now on to Mechanics, cause we aren't here ranking them based on how mysterious they are. CENSORED is one of the many easier ones in the game, only requiring the employee to be level 5, they could have gone the extra Mile and made it require level 5 on all stats besides Justice, but they didn't. Its escape can vary depending on when it escapes, but most of the time its not gonna escape in a hectic situation, but when an employee not level 5 works on it. So most of the time its gonna breach with no corpses on the ground which will prevent it from snowballing and mass panicking everyone. Its weapon is ofc great, being able to shred Geburah's first 2 phases when pared with Mimicry. Overall its a Score: S

Melting Love: I score this thing as D or even D-. Its not as trash as Silent Orchestra because of its equipment. Also you can use its Slimy Heart to work on CENSORED, causing them to almost full heal the SP damage. The issue is the random nature of the Slimy heart, having a chance to slime a random employee, only preventable by preforming Insight work on Melting Love for only 30 Seconds. Oh also it doesn't effect the employees who have already been slimed, only the one with the heart, so ofc they can still slime other employees. IMO this abnormality is a mess of mechanics that can be sidestepped by just doing repression work on it, which is why I scored it as a D. Score: D

now on to the best abnormalities in the game:

Nothing There: The most iconic ALEPH abnormality in the game. He is also the 1st ALEPH to be added to the game iirc, 2nd ALEPH in the modern version. He is the most balanced ALEPH in the game, only requiring a level 4 Fortitude and Level 4 Justice employee in order to prevent it from escaping. Ofc the employee has to live through the work, so Fortitude 5 is better however you can get away with using HE ranked armor to work on it, as the Success Rate is high enough to get away with it. Its armor is fantastic as most abnormalities deal Red damage and its Weapon is among the strongest in the game, being able to Shred through Army in Black, Mountain of Smiling Bodies, and any other abnormality weak to Red damage. Because of it being an old abnormality I have to Score it as S. So there Score: S

Blue Star: ppl already know my opinion on this one. Score: S

Now for the End game abnormalities

WhiteNight: This abnormality is my favorite abnormality. I was super excited when I found out it was added to LoR, as I figured it would be Hakma's final abnormality as it fits thematically. The abnormality in the Modern version plays like the Legacy version, just don't ignore it and everything will be fine. Even better is it gives you so much time in order to preform a work on it. and its armor is strong enough to just casually walk through King of Greed when buffed by Chesed's department, so working on the abnormality should not be an issue. Its fight in LC is nothing special, being an Endurance fight without Cheese, but why would you not cheese the fight: https://youtu.be/jCUN5tICPeQ

Anyway, I already mentioned how OP the armor is, but WhiteNight's gimmick is to be very tanky, and that is reflected by its Armor being 0.2 in all types, its Weapon healing the user, and its Gift buffing Justice (even tho I p sure the weapon doesn't scale that much with justice). Even without WhiteNight, its armor has 0.5/0.5/0.5/0.3 which is also rly strong to have. The difference between an casual player and a good player is recognizing how good WhiteNight is in ones facility, so I give this abnormality a Score of S

Apocalypse Bird: The most fun bossfight in the game, being hinted at in the late game. What happens if you have all 3 Birds in your facility: Big Bird, Punishing Bird and Judgement Bird. Well you get Apocalypse Bird. Your goal is simple: break all 3 Eggs, each representing one of the 3 Birds. Breaking an egg will prevent the big boss bird from being able to use the corresponding special attack. Library of Ruina also made the boss really fun as well, even though Power Creep made it super easy. Score: S

Ill toss my 2 cents in here

Nothing There & Blue Star: Simple and easy to manage, all you need are high-level agents to handle them that are outfitted with armor resistant to the corresponding damage. So easy to work with, breakouts are nearly unheard of, usually only getting out through the influence of another force, such as Apoc Bird or Black Fixer. On top of all that, real good gear. S-rank.

Mountain & Army in Black: I really do not enjoy abnos that break out when too much death happens, they are just a hassle, and these two are no exception. I actually like Army less than Mountain because its gear kind of sucks and, IMO, is harder to suppress. Plus, being classified as a ZAYIN makes it freaking useless for training. Mountain, on the other hand, has good gear and can help leveling. It isn't hard at all as long as you have people guarding it, but of course, it's at its worst when something else has broke out. I imagine this thing would be a nightmare during Apoc Bird. Army gets a D, Mountain gets a C.

Silent Orchestra: EXTREMELY annoying mechanic it shares with one of my most hated abnos, Alriune. Fortunately, due to it having a Counter of 2, it isn't as bad as Alriune, and its gear is pretty nice, but good luck getting said gear because of how its mechanic works. D-rank.

Melting Love: F-rank. The moment I tried to master this thing, I had to reset the run. There is SO MUCH you have to manage with this thing, keeping it from getting out and killing agents is a massive hassle that isn't worth it at all, in my opinion. So, her mechanic is that the agent that works with it will have a slime heart that'll have a 1/4 chance to infect anyone nearby the agent every 10 seconds. Those who are infected are not only goners, but will further spread infection. Only way to stop "Patient 0" from causing infection is to get 24 PE boxes or more from Insight work. Oh, and the infection only stops for 30 seconds, and the default success rate for Insight work is 45%, not great. There is so much to keep track of, and if you forget ANY of it, you'll have a lot of damage on your hands very soon. Garbage.

Censored: Can't decide between B or C-rank for this abomination. The sanity damage it inflicts for every work done with it is very major, meaning only those with extremely high Prudence and Black resistance even have a chance against it. If you do have said employee on hand, however, then the work process becomes similar to NT or BS, although your agent will need a lot of time to recover from each work session, and unfortunately it has no EGO suit to compensate for this. I'll say B-rank. By no means is it run-ending, but it can be very inconvenient at times.

Apocalypse Bird: Fun fight, fairly straightfoward once you learn how to strategize for it (always go for Long Arms first, keep standby agents in hallways, etc). If you know what you're doing, you can take this bird down without any casualties (but your game may nuke itself with lag, risking a crash lol). The meltdowns it causes are honestly a bigger threat than AB itself, but still, overall good fight that isn't tedious to overcome

WhiteNight: ohhhhh boy, WhiteNight. Ok, so, WhiteNight is a tricky one for me. So, overall, WhiteNight ain't bad. His timer mechanic is very generous, and it even buffs the facility if a good work result is achieved, making him overall easy to manage, especially if you tend to pause frequently to keep track of everything as I do. HOWEVER, there is one mechanic WhiteNight has that irritates me, and it's the fact it moves every day. It seems negligible, but rearranging your entire facility slowly overtime can become a problem, as you'll very likely have to rearrange employees so they can work with their assigned abno that just got relocated, which can lose them their department bonus, and is just generally annoying and tedious. I'd probably give WhiteNight an A or a B-rank. Not horrible, just kind of a pain.
