But if you ask me a restart would be worth it for how hard it is to supress her damn core. It really helped me to restart and build a safer facility, avoiding all the nasty abnormalities (especially ALEPH tier ones, and ones that breach easily), favouring safety over energy production... Since you'll be dealing with alot of meltdowns.
It all was to prepare for the dreaded day 49 (fortunately, day 50 is a bit of a breather, if you can make it there, then do so even with grave casualties). Like really, it's hard enough to warrant a restart if you feel your current facility is too difficult.
Also, supressing her core gives you the special unlock of not losing E.G.O equipment, so that'll help a LOT in the last days.
The endgame is hard enough you may even need to restart or load a checkpoint to regain lost equipment and/or agents to be prepared for the last days. You'll need as many as possible alive and well-equipped for day 49, no shame in restarting once or twice to gear up and whatnot.
Edit: But if you're curious what happens in the last days, you could venture forward, at worst you'll hit a bad ending or two which are interesting to see. Either from losing too badly in the last days or by not having the cores supressed.
