Orchestra, Nothing There, or Censored, which is easiest to deal with
I have to pick one of the three for Tipheret, I'm only twenty days in help

If I forcibly close the application, will it save the progress from the previous day?

Nothing There is the easiest to keep contained, assuming you have at least one employee with Level 5 Fortitude and Justice, and some respectable Red defense gear (0.6 should be enough), he is hardest to supress of the 3 though

If you dont meet the requirements to Nothing There, then go with the Orchestra, but absolutely do not pick Censored, that thing is a headache to deal with unless you got a specific suit

Also, forcefully closing the game at the Abnormality selection screen does not save your progress, learned that one the hard way

Doesn't one of the core supressions give you a reroll ability?

Would it be better for me to just retry the day?

Or is Nothing There manageable? That is to say, is it less painful to deal with than Smiling Bodies, Alriune, or Queen of Hatred?

Welp, the problem got solved for me, sadly. My power went out with me still on the screen, meaning I lost the day's progress, but also the cursed selection list.

It reminds me of a Rush song: "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

I think Binah was the one who gives you that if I'm not mistaken. Which would mean getting to almost day 45 while having also done all previous suppressions. Not a feasible option for your immediate future unfortunately.

Nope, Binah has a normal upgrade that gives you that, you just need to somehow get to day 37, unlock her department and manage complete one of her missions in order to obtain it.

No need to fight her core suppression.

Nothing There if you have an employee that can survive the work (Fortitude and Justice V with high red defense), CENSORED if you have a level V employee with VERY high black resistance, otherwise Silent Orchestra (just aim for getting a neutral work result with someone that can take a fair bit of white damage)

Nothing There is easiest to keep in the box if you got a high enough stats employee (there's a trend with Alephs here tbh). However a breach is terrifying and probably ends with failure. Overall probably the easiest to manage, however and gives some amazing equipment that can help with the others.

Silent Orchestra is toughest to keep in the box, and tough to surpress if you don't have large amounts of Pale or Black damage (pale being exceptionally rare makes this tougher)

CENSORED... is weird. You need a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of black resistance (anything worse than 0.4 is unfeasible in most situations). Once you get it's weapon it's very manageable at least. The thing to keep in mind with CENSORED is only level 5 employees can work on it AND they'll still instantly take a 60% Sanity hit the moment they start, which is where most problems arise, as the black damage causes them to snap.

I think CENSORED only deals it's 60% damage once as long as the agent doesn't leave the room and come back. So SP bullets should be able to undo it's initial damage if you have enough. Other than that high black resistance/black shields should help.

EDIT: I now realize that you meant contain and not defeat. SP bullets don't work in the containment, so disregard my previous advice...
I'd say Nothing There is easiest out of the three to keep contained as long as you have a high level employee, but if they mess up and it gets out: you're hosed.
TSO is frustrating to contain and I feel like it's the most random out of the three in terms of when it breaches. Fighting it takes a lot of micromanaging but as said by others, good pale damage really helps.
CENCORED I'd say to avoid unless you have really good black armor. Theoretically it should be manageable if you can get one high level agent with very high black resistance who won't screw up working on it.
