The purple logo in the meltdown meter is your warning that it will drop in.
You're also given prior warning if it says the next ordeal is a violet noon in the meltdown bar
Pain.
This one is where players keep everyone in their home rooms.
An additional tip to actually cheese Noon of Violet though: move your agents to another department's main room. For some reason, the obelisks can only crush agents in their own department's main room but not if they're in another department's. This way they won't get crushed and can immediately start fighting the Noons.
Another oddity about Noon of Violet: it only spawns in the upper layer and Central. In never spawns in any of the departments past that, making it a relatively safe and quick ordeal to deal with. Especially compared to Noon of Green which will instantly mince any clerks and insufficiently strong/well-suited agents.
Edit: Yeah, getting blindsided and restarting the day after your first Noon of Violet is basically a rite of passage for new LobCorp players.
