How does the Head fit in with the Kabbalistic imeagery/references?
As we all know, references to kabbalah are not exactly subtle in this game, but it takes its fair share of creative liberties with the subject matter, so at first I was fairly dismissive of some of the things in the game. The Head especially I thought was a made up entity to fit the role of a looming antagonistic force to give urgency to the plot. However, I recently watched Evangelion for the first time and in the very beginning of the opening song, they not only show two different depictions of the tree of life, but a head with several sets of wings lined with eyes, quite similar to the head that we see referenced in game. While putting my eyes back into my skull after seeing this, I came to the conclusion that the Head must be a reference to an actual thing. I've actually started diving into Kabbalistic study since playing this game, but I have yet to find any symbols or descriptions relating to the Head and the Wings of the World. I also tried searching for a breakdown of the religious imagery used in Lobotomy and Evangelion respectively, but no luck thus far.

Now, while I haven't found any explicit answers, I do have a guess. Since Angela says she came from the Wings of the World early in the story, and angels are created by God, could the Head be a representation of God? or perhaps it's the Metatron who is supposedly an entity who speaks on God's behalf? If anyone has any information on this, or even your own interpretation, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I just thought it was a bird: the Head, the eyes, the claw, the wings and the nest

I definitely see what you mean, and that could have been what the writers intended, but the existence of that imagery elsewhere makes me think it's something more. Kabbalah often describes God as unity, and in this game the Wings are companies that all serve the agenda of the Head, fitting that theme of unity and is why I believe it could be a reference to God. Seeing the same image in multiple places makes me believe that at least the Head and Wings (and maybe even the Eyes) are a reference to a specific idea or symbol. Maybe the addition of the Claw and Nest were creative liberties meant to fit the bird like imagery represented by the Head?
