White night health bar?
So, I have a question regarding White Night. How do you subdue it normally? I am aware that sending the 12th apostle to One Sin is bound to calm down that crazy moth angel, but I am interested in obtaining Paradise Lost.

The thing is... nothing seems to actually damage White Night. I've managed to down 10 out of the 12 apostles before being torn to mincemeat by the pale guardians. And when I send people to attack White Night they just... don't do any visible damage? Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I lost my Twilight weapon due to some sort of bug (It changed into a beatstick when I ordered suppresion).

I have this problem too, so it's nice to know that i'm not the only one. For what it's worth, i'd say try to avoid having it breach which is easy so long as you keep an eye on the counter. Send in a person every time it goes down, and no more or less, and you'll keep it under control.

I hope they get this patched soon.

Nah, I actually want it to breach. I want that Paradise Lost weapon. I've also managed to do SOME damage to it; the health bar is just ridiculously large.

Does white night itself have any attacks besides the apostle?
Also Weapons changeing appearnce is only a visual bug twlight should still have its normal stats

Oh, I see. I can't keep the patience to try- it's 'endured' to everything from what I gathered? I don't know what of my employees can survive that but it seems like most of the alephs are ridiculously hard so maybe i'm just not trying hard enough.

I'm just worried that i'll get my employees with the twilight boost killed. (i have inf. health cheats for them, but i have some instakill abnormalities regardless too and it's a real bother

Yeah, White Night does some sort of aura attack that affects the whole facility. It deals medium pale damage to everything while at the same time it revives the fallen apostles. It is a battle of attrition, but it is quite demanding to manage to pull it off.
Especially since the guardian apostles are there and you have to take care of those first, which wouldn't be that much of an issue given their easily recognizable wind up.

My best run has been half health bar down. Then between the pulses and the pale scythes I'm royally screwed.

Cheers.

Hm, well that's good info. I wonder if having employees at level 5 health (typically around 90+ Fortitude points) is enough for them to survive the pale aura attacks with decent armor (WAW or ALEPH-tier)? Did hear it get nerfed in damage, since last time it just creamed like 8+ people with every attack. Though even with that one specific E.G.O upgrade, its hard to find enough armor to deck out everyone with some mere amounts of pale resistance.
(Come to think about it, i really should use the Pale Shields some more, next time i encounter him. If the lack of pausing doesn't distract me too much.)

Does it still cause meltdowns or was that bit removed entirely? I mean, it's kinda cheap, even by this game's standards, if it easily kills you, summons Apostles who hit as hard as Nothing There's feakin' "goodbye"/blade attack, AND creates meltdowns in areas, which will probably be left unattended since most employees are either dead, or trying to supress the entity that caused them and/or it's minions.

He sure was shy with showing up though, since i've been trying to get his weapon, maybe he'll show up next run, hm... Even re-rolled alot of times, but no luck yet. Probably won't get Don't Touch Me before i get him in a run, since a rage-quit/kill-everyone button is always useful when faced against an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who won't let you retry until everyone's dead.

Remember it is PALE damage, so it won't matter if you have fortitude 1 or fortitude EX. The damned thing removes a flat damage percentage, so a bigger HP pool will just end losing more HP. But, obviously, you need the maxed HP as the wanker apostles have other methods of attack (not just the pale guardians).

And those damned apostles hit as hard as a freight truck.

Regarding my twilight weapon... bloody thing has been deleted from my stock. It doesn't even show up at the EGO list. Really salty about this one, to be honest.

can you rebattle apocalypse bird at least? or is it a one-time thing?
EDIT: also yes, it still causes meltdowns which is super annoying when you have like.... 4 other alephs in your facility too.

Yeah, you can always redo apocalypse bird. I just don't have the birds in the facility in this run.

Point of note: If you have completed the boss battles (Pretty much a given, considering the difficulty of attempting to subdue White Night) you don't have to worry about meltdowns.

Ah, if you meant regular meltdowns (considering one can expect a 25% to well over 50% fatality rate after "succesfully" supressing it), then yeah, it helps alot to get those done beforehand and try to end the day without anything else escaping. (I can only assume WhiteNight is ready to breach again after being supressed once, if you don't keep an eye on his timer.)

If you meant those meltdowns cannot occur anymore because of him breaching and using his special facility-wide attack if you did those missions beforehand, then great! Practically a requirement to beat him (kinda like how it also works with Apocalypse Bird, from what i heard).

Never heard of Pale damage being percentage-based or anything, though, figured it'd act like any other damage except that it's incredibily difficult reduce the damage of it and everyone takes extra damage from it unless their armor is one of the few armor types to reduce it.

Tried to kill White Night before nerf (because Skull was not working), took me pretty long time, so i got bored and restarted. Maybe i should leave PC on for night, for it to die. What I did is - get White Night early (for some reason it is going to Zaying zones and named "Plague Doctor" upon selection) and get 27th September Sheleter and Portrait. I put my Twillight 130/130/130/130 person on the Portrait. Person who got the debuff - went into Shelter. And then I send Twillight person to fight White Night. Took something near 40 minutes to get it to ~75% hp. I did not know about Paradise Lost at that point, sadly. So now I need to restart again and again, until I get those two good instrumentals and White Night at same time. If get that on early days, after supressing White Night, it will be easy to finish the day even with only 2 agents. But I want to kill an Arbiter first, though.

Certainly pays off to be a stubborn SOB.

Kind of a letdown, tbh. It is only good when THE LORD is around.

Same for armor, it is only 0.5 / 0.5 / 0.5 / 0.4 when Saviour is not there.

Jeez, this guy's impossible... Never can get a good shot on the guy due to the apostles running around being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and just being near the jerk seems to be enough to get some people killed, though that might be because one of his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minions was channeling an attack... That said, they die like almost right away after freshly entering, so... Maybe its just the thing being too cheap.

Doubt my chances of succes are gonna increase once i get all departments filled with agents... Doesn't seem to be much of a strategy right now, it LOVES to spawn in the top of Central Command, if available, but the only decent attack route is taking the elevator from the floor above. If you DARE try to enter from the sides you'll just get creamed before you even lay a hand on the boss itself, the room's just too wide for sideways assaults.

I guess there's probably ways to cheese it (and frankly, one SHOULD cheese this cheap ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as hard as possible, if regular fighting doesn't work), though figuring out any good ones will be tough... Maybe to try the painting+shelter combo and hope the painting target is someone REALLY tanky...

Was fun to just sit back and let everything go to hell as someone hides in the shelter, though... Even Nothing There breached a few times, took on WN and his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buddies, although their GROSS, LUDICRIOUS, OBSCENE, VILE, PLAIN WRONG amounts of damage took him down way quicker then anything ever should. Like, JESUS CHRIST some of their attacks where enough to take 1/10th of his HP! And he's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LEGENDARY NOTHING THERE!

Shows how retardedly OP the new boss' minions are, i suppose... One strike, bam, you're dead. Only saving grace is a giant group of agents can mob one to death before THEY die instantly. And aparrantly sometimes Nothing There likes to transform with his giant ♥♥♥♥-off blade out, instead of a big whacking stick of meat. Never knew he had an alternate variant, even if it's just cosmetic. Interesting...

Edit: Hm... The painting works wonders, even without the shelter. I had everyone but the apostle and one person to use the painting die and used the painting. From there it was just sending the painting-protected person to deal with WN while all damage got transferred to the apostle guy, who, unable to die, allowed the painting guy to also not die.
I'd imagine they'll probably patch this behaviour out though. No fun allowed eh? Gotta make em as impossible as humanly possible! Eh...

That said, that was a test run, next time i ougta get all energy first, and repeat it. Since 1 agent able to do works is, well, not gonna cut it with WN in your facility. He'd escape too often. If your surviving agents are even good enough to please this whiny, breach-heavy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, sheesh! Hm... It might also be possible to just have one person use the painting and wail on WN prematurely. Eventually no-one is left but the painting guy and the apostle, anyway.
