Suppressing Meat Lantern?

Once it's out, it says the manager can order suppression but if I move my employee there, they just instadie to the jaws of death. Is there a way to actually order them to stand back and shoot?

You need to press on the meat lantern by himself, not moving the employee
in the room and in the suppression menu, just select ranged characters.

ya you'll need to find the hidden meat lantern and click on it to see the supression menu. selecting employees and right clicking on it or clicking on its containment room won't work.
