There's two giant worms. The big ones burst from the ground (dealing probably massive red damage to anyone beneath them), then do nothing for a while, then they spawn medium-sized worms on their left and right (which are the same ones as the ones from Amber Dusk) and then they burrow, to appear in another main room soon after and repeat the proces, These medium-sized ones presumably can hit you while they go to a room's sides so be careful, then the medium-sized ones go to a random hallway once they reach the main room's end.
The medium-sized worms appear in the leftmost or rightmost part of a hallway, then move to the opposite side, during this they attack anything in their path infront of them with strong (but somewhat survivable) red damage, and at the start or end they also spawn any small worms. Best to just ignore these and focus on the big/medium ones first. And ignore the small worms, since killed small worms are replaced by new ones from the medium-sized ones. The small ones are of no threat to any normally-geared employee by now.
Worms have a spawn-limit, and once that limit is reached, big ones spawn no medium-sized ones anymore (until you kill one, at which point it'll replace the lost one), medium-sized ones have a limit of how many small ones they can spawn, too. So, just wait it out a little until no more medium-sized worms spawn.
The strategy:
Uh... Well, put your employees in position (AKA make several "elevator teams", trigger the event, wait for a while until no medium-sized ones are spawned anymore. Then wait for a big one to be near one of your "elevator teams", and hit it until it retreats and go back to an elevator. And obviously, do NOT let anyone get infront of a medium-sized worm, and don't let giant worms hit your employees as they burst out of the ground. The giant worms have no attack besides the one where they burst out, so once they do that, they're sitting ducks, but they have a LOT of HP.
Once the big ones are dead, go after the medium ones, try to attack them in the back, as infront is too dangerous. Just wait for them to spawn near one of your teams and go for em. The small ones, well they're like Amber Dawn, but get replaced by medium-sized ones, so... Ignore em until medium ones are dead, then deal with them as you please, really.

That said, it's not the only Midnight Ordeal you may face... There's also Last Helix (Green Midnight) and The God Delusion (Violet Midnight). The worms where the easiest one. Green is slightly harder, and well, Violet is grounds for restarting if you're poorly equipped. Atleast Violet Midnight has no "instant kills", but it's strong nonetheless.
(Edit: A hint for Green Midnight, put ALL your employees in an elevator before you trigger it. You'll see why. The elevators help to avoid it's uh, attack, which otherwise is almost instant-kill damage, even with a black shield. Short-range weapons are also not recommended vs this entity, either leave em in the elevator or re-equip them.)
Well, ok this turned out a bit messy but perhaps it helps?
