How exactly does the Memory Repository work?
Let's say I'm on day 20 and it's a Memory Repository save day. I continue on with the game. I run into _____ ALEPH abnormality on day 23 and it's killing every one of the employees I love and setting my precious facility on fire.

Am I able to send in my employees to their impending doom in hopes of gathering as many PE boxes as possible to make their EGO equipment then return to my saved day?

Will I be able to keep the ALEPH EGO equipment I just gathered? Will the EGO equipment from my dead employees return?

It's those kind of nitty gritty details that I'm wondering about.

Well, uh, the way Memory Repository works is that it saves the game the moment you select it, and then it reverts with that saved data to the latest checkpoint day. The game makes a new checkpoint every 5 days, starting on day 1, 6, 11, 16, 21 and so on.

This means that if you pressed it while any employees where dead (or if they lost their weapon to a certain tool abnormality), you lose their gear, fortunately it also means that anything you newly accuired (like having JUST crafted new E.G.O gear from an abnormality, or having unlocked more information for an abnormality) also stays with you while you revert to the previous checkpoint.

So you could sacrifice a few non-important employees to gain new gear, lose the gear of the sacrifices but keep the new gear while using Memory Repository. Or if the dead employees have gear you can reproduce, you can just quickly build more before selecting Memory Repository to avoid losses (may still need to re-equip them though).

Also useful to note, completed missions (and certain special supressions) stay completed after Memory Repository or restarting on Day 1. Other things stay too, like your gear, your researches/unlocks, basically everything is kept, but your employees and LOB points are reset to what they where on the checkpoint day or are reset to day 1 again depending on which option you chose. So, only employees/LOB points are potentially lost during these.

When an employee dies, their EGO Gear is lost. Not sure if it is un-lost in the repositioning. Buy it back if you lost something from a new abnormality and they will disappear in the repositioning, just in case.

If the Employee is alive or if the gear is not equipped, the gear is kept. This includes new gear that was just made, as long as the day is completed. If the day is not completed, and you reposition from the menu, the day's work does not count.

I have a quick question.

Do EGO Gifts transfer over in Memory Repositioning?

I really dislike the lineup of Abnormalities that I pulled for my most recent department and want to reset it, but I also got the 1% drop chance EGO Gift from Blue Star in the same timeframe. I would really like to keep that.

Ah, the E.G.O Gifts are uh, part of employees, so you ussually can't keep them when using Memory Repository.

With how Memory Repository works, it saves the status of your employees every 5th day (day 1, 6, 11, 16 etc), so if they attained a gift on say, day 23 but they didn't have that gift on day 21 when the Memory Repository point (or "checkpoint") was made, if you opt to select Memory Repository to go back to day 21 then, you'd lose the Gift, and employees would have the stats/gifts they had on day 21.
Same goes for LOB points.

But other stuff? That you 100% get to keep no matter when or how far back you reset. Just not employee stats/gifts or LOB points, those are tied to what they where at the day (or get removed/reset entirely if you opt to restart on day 1). Those are the only exception you can't keep.

Gonna take a guess here that the bonus from Team Working Periods don't save over either? Like the bonus you get if one character has been on the Security Team for so long and etc

Correct. Those don't persist through repository resets.

That particular debuff from the suppression event is only temporary. You gain the lost skills back at the end of the suppression event so long as the agent did not die.
