Thanks for "keeping me to the fire" as we say in Denmark. As embarrassed as I may be at the delays, I am equally grateful that you set aside time for these questions and reminders. That is not an ironic statement, and I look forward to making the state of the game post and releasing the update - and hopefully having a better (shorter) next update cycle that your posts can be about the game itself :)
Earlier today I finalized the first version of a "Mastery Progress" post, which can be found in the (new) Development Update sub-forum. I realize that I have done a poor job lately of maintaining transparency, so this is the beginning of efforts to improve in this regard.
Writing a "State of the Game" update takes a surprising amount of time because it requires condensing a lot of difficult decisions, development information, mistakes (in hindsight), plans and more. As many of you have probably noticed, keeping my posts short is not one of my strong points. But I have not forgotten about it. Time has just been passing by too fast these last days. And I really want to get a game update out asap.
So I will spend what remains of the day on bug-fixing - more specifically in relation to Favor, Offerings and Worship - new ways to finally interact with Deities (which have been present in a non-interactive fashion for quite some time).
Tomorrow morning when I resume work, I will write a Development Update, which may not be a full "State of the Game", but which should help make sure what the current challenges are, what's coming in the near future and try to set a new standard in how I communicate what's going on.
I have noticed the kind offers of help, so hopefully I can also give my thoughts on how to enable this during the next and coming patch cycles.
Also, I want to make sure I do my best to provide ample opportunity to those who look towards this game and its development to keep themselves occupied during a troubled time where many are confined to their home.
To round off for today, once again my thanks to everyone for your encouragement. I appreciate it especially in situations such as these where I am a bit stressed out about being late with an update. I want to reciprocate not just with a great game release some time in the future, but also by improving communication, transparency and participation opportunities. The new sub-forum is one step towards this.
Take your time & don't feel pushed. The day will come, sooner or later. "When" is not of essence.
There are a great many things I wish to bother you over in the future, but for now your plate seems very full. For now, I say here's to a glorious release in the next few days!
Thanks. I have taken this to heart and spent today on fixing a couple of tricky bugs rather than writing long-winded forum posts. A game update is much more interesting than words.
Edit: I've posted the dev update now. I am still working on the game update, yet another day of fixing bugs. Any day now it will be ready (I know that's not the first time, I've said that about this update).

I guess its very hard to make a game, esp 1 man team, and in thease hard times put yourself and family first, this is just a game and though part of your life its not as important as your life or family. Dont stress about being slow to work on the game. I also early access to starcitizen they got 2-300 programmers and still 7+ years. Thats the way it is. Good luck.
